Elizabethtown Sports Park to Offer Innovation Programs to Locals

Kentucky’s “Facilty of the Year” shares the perfect place to play with locals.

Kentucky’s premier outdoor sports facility, Elizabethtown Sports Park managed by The Sports Facilities Management (SFM), announces the first ever local programming for adults and kids at their facility. Beginning this fall, the Elizabethtown Sports Park will launch multiple events and programs including: an Adult Wiffle Ball League, Scare-E-Town 3v3 Soccer Tournament and a Scar-E-Town Fall festival. The events will take place throughout the month of October, starting with the Adult Wiffle Ball League. 

Elizabethtown Sprorts Park General Manager, Todd Yancey, expressed his excitement for the new programs, “The programming we are developing will give us the opportunity to connect with the community in a way we haven’t before, and grow the relationship between the park and our locals. We anticipate a successful fall season as we engage with the Elizabethtown community and hope local residents will enjoy the events we have planned.”  

The first pitch for Fall 2019 Adult Wiffle Ball League will be thrown on October 1, 2019, where teams will receive an Etown Sports Park swag bag and everything they will need for the season.. The league will last throughout October. Teams are allowedbetween 6-10 players and can register on the Elizabethtown Sports Park website.

The Scare-E-Town 3v3 Soccer Tournament will kick-off on October 26, 2019, and be available for ages ranging from 6U to adults. Teams must have a minimum of four players with a maximum of six per team. After the winner of the tournament is announced the Scare-E-Town Fall Festival will immediately begin. While at the festival enjoy the petting zoo, hayrides, bouncey houses, as well as a variety of fall festival themed games and crafts. 

“Involving the community in the Sports Park is something I had set out to do the moment I started.” Stated Amanda Anderson, the Programs Coordinator for the park. “Our team has put a lot of hard work into planning the best events for everyone and I cannot wait to start this fall with our Audlt Wiffle Ball League.” 

Elizabethtown, Kentucky is situated at the crossroads of I-65 and the Bluegrass Parkway, making it a convenient place to hold a sporting event. The Sports Park is located near 21 hotels, 6 shopping centers and over 90 restaurants in family-friendly Elizabethtown. The Sports Park can accommodate events and tournaments for baseball, softball, soccer, football, lacrosse, field hockey, and a number of other sports. Two of the largest fields serve as championship fields and have synthetic turf.
